Charity makes you feel better

Peace be Upon you,

Personally, it comes as no suprise, its just nice to know there's documented evidence.

In Islam, Charity is encouraged at every point and held extremely highly, and unlike how it is seen in modern society, 'Charity' can be any sort of giving. From alms to the poor, to a gift to a friend, even intimate relations with your partner!

It is a well known concept that Charity in Islam is rewarded, in some prophetic narrations it is said that which you give will be returned to you tenfold. More important and relevant on this occasion is that many good acts bring about 'Barakhah' in ones life.

Barakhah is often translated as 'blessing' but in reality its true meaning in more in depth than that, it can be accurately translated as 'that which may be small but satisfying'. In other words, you will be satisfied even if you have little food, shelter or a place to sleep, as appossed to someone who may have the greatest riches but his food does not fill him, his shelter does not make him feel secure and his luxurios bed does not satisfy his sleep.

Peace,
Yahya
